    3. Discussed the issue with Ferrell Gas and that we are looking at other options; such as Polar Gas.
    4. It was also discussed to look into purchasing our own tank.  There could be possible perks to look into owning a tank vs. leasing.
    5. Discussed what expenses are under the professional fees/expenses, postage and website.

  1. Speakers/Reports
    1. Water Board – John Pacetta

                                                               i.      In August the Water Board will go out to bid only for the meter reader– no decisions will be made at that time.

1.       Purpose of looking at alternative options:

a.       Most districts are going to this type of meter system.

b.       Leaks will be caught much faster saving home owner money.

c.       In the long run will also save the Water Board money because of not having to pay for man power to read the meters.

ii.      Elections are up and there are 3 seats available.  It is important that those who are interested in a seat on the board to nominate themselves by February 2008.

    1. Metro Board – Tom Schanaman

                                                               i.      The loader is almost paid off which will give the Metro an additional $18,000 for 2008.

1.       With this extra cash flow, can put towards man power to help with Lake Road during winter maintenance.

2.       Will need to purchase chains and new rock bucket

ii.      Metro was donated recycled asphalt.  The asphalt helps keep dust down.  Some of this recycled asphalt has been placed on Lower Forest Rd.

iii.      Tom reminded everyone to keep ditches clean so that water can be diverted off the roads which reduce pot holes.  By not keeping the ditches clean can also create more challenges with the roads during the winter months.

    1. County Wide Fire Protection Plan – Scott Rightsell

                                                               i.      Scott did not speak today; however, we were reminded that the Clear Creek Fire Department will be in the area to do a property assessment for the Community Wildfire Plan.

ii.      On July 19th at 6:00 p.m. there will be a meeting at the schoolhouse regarding the fire protection plan and also address the concern of beetle kill.

iii.      Time and date will be posted on website and bulletin by Deb.

  1. Old Business
    1. Lakes/Fishing Report – Rob Brozovich

                                                               i.      Rob updated everyone on the vote to keep Lake Quivera a catch and release with lure only.  Of the ballots that were sent out with the POA Newsletter, 50 voted for catch/release and lure only.  11 voted against.

ii.      Rob discussed the concerns of Lake Quivera.  Currently there are approximately 300 sucker fish that are jeopardizing the longevity of the trout fish in the Lake.  Rob has spoke with a Fish Biologist and they are looking at options to eliminate the sucker fish.  Rob will discuss updates at POA meetings.

iii.      Discussed the need to drudge both lakes to reduce water weeds.

iv.      Also the need to plow Lake Quivera in the winter to reduce winter kills.  By removing the snow, the sun can shine through the ice giving the fish greater opportunities of survival.

                                                             v.      Look at options to put peat pile back into Lake Quivera.
