Preparedness
Kit suggestions: Non-perishable food, Manual can opener, Water, Waterless hand
cleaner, Important addresses and phone numbers, Extra glasses/Contact lenses,
Baby Supplies, Battery powered radio and batteries, Flashlight and batteries,
Emergency candles and matches, Blankets or sleeping bags, Toilet paper/paper
towels, Utility knife, Extra clothing, Basic tools, Extra set of keys to car,
Cash.

Medical
Necessities include: Essential Medications and list of medications, Extra
supply of medications, First aid kit, Thermometer, Tylenol/Ibuprofen.
iii.
In
the event of any community emergency, checklists will help you and your family
to be prepared.
i.
Is it
safe to eat poultry products? Yes.
There is no current risk of infection from US poultry products. Be sure
to fully cook poultry, meat and fish products.
Always wash your hands and utensils after handling uncooked products.
ii.
Should
I be concerned about wild birds around my house? No. Most wild birds do not represent an avian influenza threat.
iii.
Who
should I contact concerning dead birds? Report sick or dying domestic poultry
